Welwitschia Care · Nursing & Health Academy

Prepared in Namibia. Trained in Germany.

We prepare young people in Namibia in language, care skills and culture for the care assistant training (Pflegefachassistenz) in Germany, and we stay at their side through every phase until they qualify.

Why now

What we take care of

We support trainees and employers through every phase of the training, from selection in Namibia to qualification in Germany.

  2. During the training

  3. Towards qualification

Exam preparation, the move into work and paths to further qualifications, for example the three-year nursing training.

What we stand for

Care with dignity
We see care as a whole: professional skill, kindness and staying with people with empathy through illness and frailty.
Movement and nutrition
Healthy food and exercise are a fixed part of the preparation.
Transparency
Every payment is linked to a specific service, clear for employers and for trainees.
Fair recruitment
We pay for preparation courses, the B2 certificate, visa fees, fees for the recognition of school certificates and the journey, not the trainees. What applies during preparation is set out in a written agreement beforehand.

About the academy

Welwitschia Care, legally Senior Care Academy CC, is an educational organisation with a social mission, founded in March 2025 in Namibia. We combine preparation in Namibia with training at partner institutions in Germany.

Founded by Birgit M. Schwinn. “Care knows no borders, and empathy speaks every language.”

Classes are held in Windhoek so far. A second location on a farm is planned.
